Howdy,

We recently pulled this wrecked JH23N shell out the woods. According to the GG book it is 1 of 949 for whatever that is worth. Fender tag is present. The original 383 is rough but present with the numbers 727. Thank you for sharing your opinion. I am not afraid of this car because the tub is very solid, however I am more of a racer than restoration specialist. Any feedback is much appreciated. If it seems like a fool's errand it might become yard art.

Yes it is worth saving. But I’m not going to do it.

R/T with matching drivetrain and a good hi impact color.

It is hammered that is for sure. I bought it for a few parts and started to feel bad for it.

My thinking is to see if I can get a clean title and check the block/trans for external damage.

1/4's, roof/dutch, doors, deck lid, finish panel, fenders, aprons and hood would be a very short list to get started. I think I could round all of that up for around 5k. Maybe 5k of my time to make it whole again. Spot welds are easy compared to fabbing stuff from scratch IMO.

The crux here is at what point am I building a car around a couple of tags?

Did you look for a broadcast sheet. What is the mileage on the odometer? The thing is there not made any more. And a numbers car and floor solid. It would be a passion project. If you have or could find a car for the donor parts. I would take all things in account that your considering. I have done worse.

Looks like she was used in a ' Fast 6 ' episode !

Nice color!
you have allot of if's to check out -
If motor / trans checks out...
If undercarriage is not bent/twisted to bad?
up/down - left/right - cross corner
I too have done similar 20 yrs ago when
parts / junk cars were easier to find -

-2cents -

I have a couple of frame rails and aprons laying around rust free as well as a complete windshield frame I saved out of a donor I too have done worse I have another one in me but not one like that again good luck!

Strip everything that is salvageable off the car and assess from there. Not likely to be much left. Appears to be a car that was stacked at the yard.

That could be the star of a new show! Maybe you could get a package deal from one of the AMD suppliers?
