Just put the rear bumper on yesterday and couldn't resist installing the old plate.

I will put the trim on soon; and yes I still need three reflectors.....

Update: I just learned that Calif did not start using month stickers until 1975. Before then you just alternated the year sticker back and forth... Under the May sticker was a 1973 year tab, and under that was the 1971 tab!

So my front plate was mangled pretty bad, but a friend of mine has a 3D printer, Next week we are going to scan my rear plate and print up a "Display only" plate for the front.... I will still need to paint it though.
