Missing vin tag

Hey, I have a 70 cuda and the guy before me replaced the dash and lost the vin tag. I have the title and the DMV came out and compared the title with the numbers stamped into the firewall and gave me a sticker from the state with the vin numbers and a bar code but I'm wanting a tag for the dash. Anyone know how I can get one? Thanks

ECS won't repop a VIN tag they only do door stickers and VIN tag transfers, I think it may be illegal to make a VIN tag?

It is not always illegal depending on the cars legal status, which can be different in different US states and other countries. Contact www.datatags.com They know the rules and if the car falls within the needed standards they may make a VIN tag for you.

You can get another tag made. Usually after you have a title, reissued government vin tag and fender tag. Sometimes the federal reissue vin tag can have the same vin as the original vin on the car. Depends on state and who you deal with.
