Mopar Nationals in Columbus OH. August 2024

Anyone in here from the Columbus area, or frequent attendee of the Mopar Nationals.
Looking for recommendations on hotels/motels ect. in the area of National Trails Raceway.
Something reasonable, and closer the better.
Just the average joe checking things out, not looking to impress anyone.

My last few times there I stayed at the Double Tree in Newark. No complaints on my part. If it was good enough for Don Garlits (forget which year) it was good enough for me.

I suspect most of the decent hotels around the track are sold out.
I dont think you will find any deals
If you dont mind a short drive. Get a room by the airport plenty to choose from and reasonable prices

we've been 20 times or so and never get a hotel in advance and never had a problem getting a deal when we get there.the last few years we've been staying at buckeye lake.

Same here. Last time out we stayed at a Super 8. Not sure it's still there or closed.

yes the only info to be found is on the track web site. Not sure why the Nationals web site is not updated yet .people from away would like to confirm dates and make reservations and arrange time off from work ect.
