Hi all, I trying to replace the parking brake handle. The original came off in pieces. There’s a pin which holds the handle in place. Question: is it a pin? I can’t make it move either direction. So, for those that have replaced the handle, please advise if the pin actually comes out and if not, how did you attach the new handle? Much appreciated. I’ll go work on something else, or drink a beer, it is Friday.

If you’re talking about the black plastic handle it’s just a roll pin that holds it in.

Spray it with penetrating oil and let it sit a day, then use a small punch if you have one and tap it out gently. It will come out and your new handle should come with a new pin

SFE Body, thank you very! I’ve tried a vice and socket; no joy. I’ll set the pin in some penetrating oil over night. I’ll let you know how it works out. Thanks again!
