Greetings - I need to replace my positive battery cable and see 2 leads coming off the starter but whenever I try to find one in a parts store I only see the generic one lead cable. Has anyone purchased a positive Battery cable and a place where I can purchase one with both leads? My Challenger is a has the 383 Magnum.

The factory cables have 2 connectors molded together , if you want original I would start by checking with Roseville Moparts , you can also run 2 separate cables for the most cost effective route

Parts stores generally only deal with current parts. Parts for cars from the seventies etc... are available only from businesses dedicated to older car parts like Roseville, Classic Industries, YearOne, etc...

M&H will stand by their product, you will never need it though.

I bought my last one from Classic Industries. It was for a small block and is correct in every way right down to the correct wrapping and strap that retains it to the shock tower. No markings though.

I believe it is made be M&H but don't recall for sure. Not cheap either! $150

M&H states they only sell thru Year One but I only see the small block set even at
Roseville. Nothing for RB E-body...?

That’s only on harnesses, YearOne bought the licensing rights for the harnesses only from Mopar. M&H can sell the battery cables directly. I bought two.

Here’s a reply I received from M&H when I asked about buying cables.

Hi Ken,

Do you guys carry the positive and negative cables for a 69 Charger?

“Yes we do,

#40396 for the positive, 383, 440c.i. $115.00, in stock at the moment.

#44009 for the negative, 383, 440c.i. $55.00, out of stock, roughly 6-8 weeks to build.

Thanks,

Ken
