I was lucky enough to still have my original which was in the trunk of my A66 vert when I bought the car in 1979. Dirty but never on the ground.

Buda, Thanks for asking; finished the trunk floor weld in, welding two small patches in the wheel wells. Waiting to epoxy prime the trunk floor underneath so I can install a gas tank 👍

Great, so, good progress is being made!
Getting the tank in is a very important step, at that stage, I know I will be seeing the lightt at the end of the tunnel soon.
Tell me, what you doing for the insulation pad?

Careful now. Even though I'm putting together dated parts for a V code challenger in my garage that needs an absolutely FULL restoration, this car is what I actually drive. It's about as far away from pure as it gets.

Here's a couple pictures.
She's just an old beat up car. Original /6, pale yellow. My friend had it in Phoenix when he was going to ASE school back in the 80's.
I helped my best friend install the wing in the 90's. He got the wing off of the 70 coronet R/T that he bought in Arizona early 80's. The wing came off of the Blackbird. The only known state patrol superbird.
Currently she has a cammed up 400 with a TCI 727 with a 7 1/4 4:10 gears. One legger. 36 gallon gas tank so I can drive the car 100 miles per trip.
My best friend, who lives 100 miles away Loved this ride. I helped him with lots of work on it over the years. He blew out his rotator cuff and can't sit in the passengers side of a new vehicle for 45 minutes before his arms turns to pure pain. I purchased the car from my best friend with the wing on it as he really needed the money when he was going through a divorce, torn rotator cuff, lost his job and lost his house and lost all his cars and stuff he had acquired over the years. Ended up with no phone and no home and I literally lost track of my best friend. Very unfortunate.
But, his dream still lives and rides with me.

I can see it good in the last picture, it looks funky, I dont know,.... to me it really doesn't look out of place , some will disagree but, I kind of like it.
Looks like, a car in one of Chrysler's painted posters with a purple wild theme. Thats what, 70's mopars were intended to be,
.
I am sorry to hear your friend had a divorce, if you are not ready for a divorce , it will will send you on a bad ride. The third time for me, it was The War of the Roses,(with M.Douglas) . She was a mortionist (she didn't tell me at first! Lol) and she enjoyed her work, yeah thats all I'm gone say, hehe.......

Btw, isn't anybody looking for that wing?, its worth a fortune to someone!

You would think that who ever has dug the black bird out of the storage yard it was kept in would want it.

I know it's not 9 out of 10 mopar guys cup of tea. But it works for me.

If I was to find a real superbird, perhaps it would find it's way back onto some original skin.
