I have installed a number of rear disc brake systems and IMO the kits that require Green bearings use fixed position calipers typically of GM design. In these systems if you don't use the green bearings the rotors will float a bit and wear the pads quicker but it isn't like it's not going to work. If your kit has or uses floating calipers then it doesn't matter.
