i found a completely new rebuilt TQ carb on ebay for $225.00. All the modern carbs are $360+. The car will be a driver and i'm looking for good power and reliability.

TQ carbs are nice for drivers. They make good power and get good MPG. If you can get the # off the carb and look it up to see what year and model it is. Do a google and you willfind sites that list all the different TQ carbs.

i just bought a completely rebuilt one for 200 clams.

I like the TQ.
Any carb can be tuned for good mileage as long as it isn't a over kill on CFM, like a 850 on a 318. LOL

You yourself can rebuild this carb for alot less than new. Even if you have nothing for the carb cleaning now.

Use the smaller primary carb for small displacement engines or low HP engines like a smogged 360 or 400 w/Hwy gears.
