Replace an Oil Pan Gasket

First time posting, Long time reader - I have a leaky oil pan gasket on my '71 Challenger with a crate 360. It appears that I need to drop the torsion bar to get the oil pan out, but I'm looking for any advice on how to get around that if possible.

you should be able to drop the pan by removing the steering center link on one side & swinging out of the way
