Roof drip rail sealing?

Anyone know what and how Dodge sealed the roof skin/drip rail junction, and if sealer was used, did it cover the width of the drip rail or just the edge of the roof skin lip? Thanks. 71 Challenger

All ive seen, the seam sealer covers both. Just dont make it too thick or the chrome wont go on.

The drip rail on these cars is so shallow, you'd think any sealer would fill it and kind of defeat the purpose of a drip rail.
