my 71 came with an AM radio that connects to my cassette player I picked up an am/fm motorola that needs work.(unsure of year) (72?) we have some here that is old school but he would like a schematic to work with.I was wondering if there is a location we can access that would have the information we need
The radio should have a label on it with some Motorola information and Chrysler part number, if not worn away or too damaged to read. A Motorola label for a 1972 - 1974 E-body AM/FM-Multiplex radio with cassette player connector, Chrysler part number 3501501, is shown in the following image:

The manufacturers that built radios for Chrysler produced their own service manuals. Chrysler built some of their own radios as well, particularly in the later 1970s. With the part number and vendor information, a service manual, including schematic diagrams, might be found. The following image shows some radio manufacturer service manuals:
