Slant 6 to 440

An idea I had if I get a car painted was to get some extra panels painted at the same time with the same paint then if a minor bingle hapens or some a##hole vandalizes it these spare panels can be fitted and the colour match will be perfect.

Updates on body work. Like I said, some bond-o, surprised how much was in the trunk! No prob....replacing the floor as well.... they will start next week on panel alignment then take apart to start the sheet metal body work.....stay tuned

Update. I am excited to say after 3 months my body shop finally has my challenger into their rotation. Should be painted and finished by March. Here are a couple update as they are working on trunk metal late on today

Not really that bad if that is the worst you found after blasting. Very typical area for rust out and hopefully you don't find anymore surprises.

Nope, with the exception of the trunk pan, everything else is repairable I believe. Looking for all the metal work to be complete in Jan, then off to paint I am hoping. My goal. is to have it at the MOPAR Spring Fling in Van Nuys California in April.

Nope, you are right. These cars are very time consuming to get things right. You are doing great:thumbsup:

Minor setbacks, more rust on quarters. Around wheel moulding areas as well as lower sections of quarter panel. So much for paint next week! DOes anyone know if they make quarter panel path sections? I don't want to replace the entire quarter.
