Hi guys,

I have a 1973 Challenger here and wanted to know if someone maybe know that car or the preowner.
It should be an older restoration from somewhere in Montana about 2014 as far as I know.
Today the car is located in Germany.
VIN is JH23H3B441305.
It has a non matching '71 340 installed (2B117603).

It would be great to get some information about it.

Thank you guys in advance.

Welcome from New Jersey!
Nice Challenger; great that you have the high compression version of the 340 in your car.

Hey you guys,
thanks for the welcome.
To avoid missunderstanding: That Chally isnt mine..yet.
I drove it and try to get more information about it because here in Europe these cars are a) very expensive and b) there are a looot of dubious guys here selling those cars making a lot of money with it.
The best thing is trying to get as much information about it and its history as possible.
So if anyone has something for me just write me.

You are smart to find out as much as possible about the car before buying!

So you think that the seller/dealer is misrepresenting what the car actually is or how it's been restored?

Oh Matt,
I am a newbie so I really dont know if the seller tells me all he knows.
I Just try to get as much information as possible because the prices here are very high... And you dont want to spend a lot of money without asking anything.

Very true and smart to be thorough. A good idea is to have somebody knowledgeable look at the car with/for you.

Maybe you can buy one directly from the US and have it sent to Europe.

I am actually thinking about this option.
The question is if it gets more expensive in the end.
I had to buy "blind" because I cant just take a flight to the US everytime I see an interesting offer.
Next thing are the upcomming costs for an import/export.
Transport to the harbour, sea transport, taxes, customs, transport in Germany and then the costs for the German technical inspection and its preperations and modifications.
I would have to look for a car in absolutely driver condition...rust free as possible.
On the other side the range of available cars is muuuuch higher at you guys - of course.

What do you think how much would a 70s 340 in very good technical condition be?
I dont care about the paint condition.

Would love a hardtop, black interior, rallye cluster, R/T hood... Dont know if automatic or shifter. My daily is a shifter.
