Has anyone used a starter blanket? Good and hot engine engine acts like it has a low battery. Has to cool for a little. If so do they work and any brand recommendations.

Have you double checked your electrical connections such as your engine block and block to body grounds ? Do you have headers ? A standard or mini starter ? Battery charged to at least 12.6 volts ? There are many things that add resistance in the electrical system. There are also starter shields to deflect heat from the starter and electrical connections at the starter. Is this a new problem ? Lots of questions to ask.

Mini starter, shorty ceramic headers and battery is around 13.6 and no I have not checked my grounds. BUT that 440 can be sitting for weeks and will crank right up. This only happens when it's good and hot.
