is there a difference in thy steering column from manual to power steering?

Yes , the shaft length is longer with manual steering , the steering box is shorter .

If you what to use a power steering column with a manual box, Mancini makes this adapter. It's cheaper than some others out there.

my car is manual steering column shift , it came with a steering column ( extra not installed) w no shifter i’m not sure it’s manual or PS, , i gotta do some measuring as i am thinking of keeping the manual steering till i finish the build and drive it . if at that point i hate the manual steer i will convert then . wife wants the slap stick w console , so i’m heading down that road. not sure if she will like manual steer , we shall see ! thanks for the tip on adapter!!!

ya , it has its advantages, we also have manual brakes , thinking same w them …
