tail light harness install - 1970 cuda

Need help please. Just unwrapped previous owners tail light harness repair and it is a real mess that is not worth repairing. I will purchase a new harness. Any tips or tricks you would share about installing. It looks almost plug and play. Again, thanks, Tim

Use a q-tip to apply dielectric grease to the connectors, especially for the side marker lights. This will help seal out moisture.

does it matter which end goes in first. I noticed a hole that it looks like I should start from the front end first. Thoughts
