The good, the bad, and the ugly? Not these two. Both are pretty nice. I am having difficulty picking the one I would want as a home for my Hemi engine. Take a look. I want a car that could have been ordered with a Hemi. Not making a Hemi clone, I dont like that. The donor car will be whatever it is, just with a Tunnel Rammed Hemi. My plan for the donor car is to remove the entire drive train. Beef it up underneath but keep the body stock.

This is a 68 Satellite, Rust free Cali car. Freshly repainted. 318 car. I would think Hemis could be ordered in 69 Sats, no?

They both have fender tags. The Challenger is a California blue plate car with the build sheet and lots of documentation. Has RT stripe but not an RT.

Hard to say. I like them both. Either would be great with a Hemi. I have a tunnel ram Hemi in my Challenger.

It was possible to get a Hemi in a 71 Challenger. For a Satellite, it would have to be a 66 or 67 to have a Hemi. Unless there's some car I never heard of (quite possible!), the Hemi was only offered in the Road Runner or GTX in 68.

I vote for the 71 Challenger as the donor car!

IMO, a tunnel rammed Hemi would suit the Challenger much more than it would the Satellite.

Put the hemi in the Satellite. Nix the tunnel ram and leave the flat hood. Perfect!

You could get a hemi in a Belvidere, Satellite, Road Runner or, GTX in 68.
