I'm trying to remove the original throttle cable and am having a problem figuring out how to free the plastic grommet at the firewall without destroying it. I removed a metal retainer from the interior side but it still wont come through the firewall. The plastic grommet appears to have some ears on it but they wont compress to allow it to pull through. Anybody familiar with this issue?
