What is the Small block oil filter adapter bolt torque spec?

Tight + a 1/4 turn !!
They can be tough to to sealed up , I have had to crank on the bolt to stop leaks .

I used this gasket set which called for 40lbs.

Inch lb. or Foot lb. ? I don't use a torque spec for stuff like this. Tighten it until it feels right. Depending on which bolt design you have, too tight may twist and damage it.

I tightened the nut snug, it leaked, more tight, it leaked. I put a torque wrench on it and went to 50 ft/lbs to tighten it more.
