What on earth is this?

So this is under my dash and i cannot figure out what it is or what it is for. It will get very hot after having the car on.

Any ideas???

That'll be in your factory service manual in the wiring diagrams. It's a relay of some sort, there are several under the dash.

Ive looked in there, cant seem to locate it.

That is an ignition light time delay relay. It is for the little green lens at the key hole. Sounds like your car came with the light package. Getting hot may mean a short or the relay is bad.

On an s/e or A gran coupe it triggers the fasten seat belt lamp.
