What seam sealer to use on fenders

Hello everyone starting my resto on my 70 cuda removed the front fenders I noticed there was some type of foam or spongy seam sealer that was hard as a rock when I removed the fenders what are you guys putting back in there if any thanks

I normally just use brushable seam sealer which you can get at any auto parts or auto paint store (or online).

Do you mean b/t the fender and where it bolts to the inner fender? I would not bother with seam sealer in that location, what if you need to adjust the fender later?
But for other areas I like a 2 part seam sealer, it’s so superior to the stuff like Dynatron.
