what year does this challenger look like ?
At first glance it looks like a 1970, especially in the night when it looks like the picture was taken. After enlarging it with some software, and putting more light in it, it is indeed a 1972, or a 1973-74 with 72 bumpers.
the chrome on the front edge of the hood & fenders is missing , 72-74 didn't have chrome only 70-71
yea the owner said its a 73 but does not look like one... he told me the front end was blacked out...
so its a 72-74 aye?
70 grille and hood. Or a lot of work to put 72-74 sidemarker lights on it. Or good photo shop.
So here is the grill enlarged and lightened up. You can see the lines of the blacked out 72-74 grill.
I think that it looks pretty good. The 70 and 71 styling looks better to me than the 72-74 did. I did a similar trick to a '73 I had years ago.
how much do you think this car would be worth? 440 , very clean car , automatic trans
and is the hood changed? what else has been changed? it looks like a 70
The pictures posted here made me think; how difficult would it be to modify the 72-74 fiberglass grill surround to fit the 70 egg crate grill section (available in repro form) by recessing it into the existing panel? With some fiberglass work of course! Could be a cool modification.
but how does this one look like a 70?? i can see the blacked out grille but it bloody looks like a 70 otherwise
It looked really cool the way it was set up!
heres a pic of the engine bay
The hood has not been changed, it is a 72-74. The side markers are also 72-74.
What do they want for it? If it is very clean, solid, and no shoddy work, maybe $25,000. Does it have a VIN tag or fender tag?
What are the tail lights? Post a pic of them.
anyone? will post vids and vin number soon
