what's the hole for

the rear quarter trim has a hole which gets covered by the seat but does it serve a purpose or am i just missing a hole plug?

You are not missing a plug.. Seat belt anchor bolt, I think.

Seat belt mounts outside of the panel. Unsure what the hole is actually for but it gets covered by the rear seat bottom and there is no plug as was stated above...
