Wiper motors and 6 pack carbs

Hi, Does anyone know if you need to use a 3 speed wiper motor that leans sideways with the 6 pack carbs, or will a 2 speed, straight out one work?

I have seen notches in the air cleaner base plate to clear the wiper motor so a 3 spd is a better fit
