I am in the process of connection harness for electronic ignition on my engine. I have six wires I need assistance with. One group goes I believe to the alternator and the other to the coil. the first I believe go to the alternator and are blue, gray and blue/orange. The second group are blue, white and Gray (coil ?). I have an original point harness that doesn't have these two groups. Does anyone have a pictorial on where the wires go or some diagrams? My 71 manual color code does not match the color codes probably because it shows for a point system. Appreciate any feedback. Hope to have the car running this weekend.

Here's a couple examples that might help.

If you are keeping the point distributor, that is different. Show the harness you have. After market harness don't always follow factory colors.

Sorry that I missed the obvious to me. click on the links that I posted if you want to see some pictures.
A very, very simple ignition setup.
Almost as easy as hot wiring a car in the pre- electronic ignition days.
A Hot wire connected directly to the + coil stud.
