AC Hose Rebuild

Has anyone had their AC hoses rebuilt? Mine look pretty dried out. Does anyone sell new hoses or is a rebuild the only option?

If I have them rebuilt, is there anything I need to know ahead of time? If I can’t buy new ones I don’t want to make the ones I have worse as they currently hold a vacuum.

I'm kind of in the same boat as I have all of the original a/c lines for my project and most look nice enough to use as-is but one is showing some cracking like yours.

No reproduction a/c lines that I know of for the original RV2 compressors. Classic Auto Air in Florida used to offer a restoration & rebuild service but they got out of doing that about a year or two ago and now looking on google it looks like they may have closed altogether?

I have heard this place mentioned before but haven't used them or contacted them yet about what they can do for stock looking fittings. I would guess rebuilding them so they function properly won't be much of a problem but the fittings are probably going to look different than original, kind of how the current power steering hoses look vs original ones.

I have not used the "Cold Hose" vendor but it looks like maybe they are the go-to people if you can send them your parts for rebuild. My car needed custom hoses and I used a local high end restoration company near me that has the crimping tools and hose for One-Off fabrication. Extremely spendy though. Pretty sure you will never find the correct looking fittings anywhere. Good luck.

I would look for a mobile HVAC company, as they can usually make a line to fit.

i cut the steel ac lines off at the crimped fitting then brazed new barbs on took them and all the other stuff like brackets door latches ect. and got them cad plated at a local plater then crimped on new ac barrier hose the crimps are a little different but they look good
