whats the difference on control arm

ok the lower control arm bumper are the same on 70-73 , on the 74 they changed the look of it. Im not the kind of person who cares about # matching.So are the control arms interchangable on all challengers and if so why could i not use the 70-73 lower bumper? thanks for any help dave

Nothin.............. I dont even use a bumper on my lca's cos the t-bars are so stiff

The Mopar parts manual shows the bumper to be same from 1971 and up. So the 74 should work. Just curios, why does it matter? It just mounts to a square hole in the arm.

moparleo I was looking at my k-frame and noticed they were missing.So i was trying to look them up and rockauto didnt have them.Brads70 gave me a part # and it said it wouldnt work for that year 74,but said it works for 70-73. Didnt make since

I noticed different part #'s on rockauto for different years and I'm not sure but I think all the lower control arms were the same? I can take some pictures of my LCA's for my 1970 if that helps?

Ya I'm thinking so too. I'd get the shortest one so it gives your more suspension travel?
