Quick question about the "by PLYMOUTH" on the tail panel of my 73 cuda. Should they be black with raw lettering for contrast? Mine is all raw aluminum, but then again the car is 52 years old that has an older restoration (mid 2000's). I've seen them both ways on the internet, so curious which way is most correct. If it should have a black background, what is the correct sheen? Flat, Satin?

Thanks,

chrome on black. unsure the finish, but all I've seen are flat black-looking, which may be oxidized gloss... it's hard to say.

Original emblems are usually doler in appearance than reproductions. They fade after 50+ years.

I have a buddy with steady hands and way more patients than I that is going to give it a go and restore my emblem. He likes doing that sh!+.
