I sourced and installed an old origin rear sway bar in my fish. The Sway Bar is level with the car but the end connector holes do not sit over the axel bracket holes. So the end connector/bushings sit at about a 15-20 degree angle rather than straight up. I attached the frame mounts using the 10” diagram from the bottom of the frame to the first hole on the bottom of the mount as indicated. Here are a few photos of my end bushing position. It functions as mounted but may not be right. Any info or input on this would be appreciated. 🌴

I have your answer, but you are not going to like it.
You have a diplomat cop car (F or M body) rear bar.
The giveaway was the taper on the bar toward eyelet. E body are straight to the end.
They are also shorter in that segment.
Also 1" narrower.
Orange bar is E.

Wow! Great answer Mr. Cuda and the pictures explains it perfectly. Now I gotta remove it and find an E Body Sway Bar. Thank you 🌴

I found and purchased the correct Sway Bar for my Fish. Thanks again for the knowledge & support. Regards Rob🌴

My factory 3/4" rear sway bar (1970 Cuda 340 with SPD of 613) looks like that. The driver's side is a bit more angled than the passenger's side.

Do these get tweaked from use and abuse? the ones I have on the garage floor, now, seem to lay flat equally at both ends.
No, the bar does not lay flat at all.
I was referring to the end link angles to the leaf spring plate.

No, the bar does not lay flat at all.

Well, yea, the rear (anti)sway bars have bends in them, to go over the differential. So the entire bar may not lay flat. But the end link (eye) tips generally do. Remove the bushing brackets and the bar outer ends and arms each lay flat on the ground, as in "on the same plane."

I thought you were saying your bar had a skew, such the one of the sway bar end links was higher(lower) than the other end. Maybe I misunderstand, but aren't these supposed to be the same, like they are on a front sway bar?

You guys have talked me into it. I want to add rear sway bars onto two of my 70 B Bodies and on one of my 70 E Bodies. My other 70 E Body already has an anti roll bar under it in the rear. Who has the most factory correct mounting style rear sway bars?

Yes, if the bar is out and sitting on the garage floor, the ends should sit flat. There is some twisting load feed into these, but not enough to distort the ends so they are not in plane with each other.

Firm Feel has the most accurate reproduction of factory rear bars.
