Things do not seem to be going well over at e-bodies.org

they allowed the hacker(s) to hack for weeks. and lately, the hacker has been making nasty and misleading posts attempting to divert attention and confuse. a drama is playing out. it's unclear who the winners are. though.

It will survive.

That site has tons of FREE information that is not available here.
Not to mention, Free messaging.
No donations.
NO ADS. (unless you use your phone and don't know how to stop them, which happens on every site)
NO CENSORSHIP.
Threads don't get shut off because of inactivity.
Pictures don't get deleted, so when you need to know about something we talked about 5 years ago, the EBODY information is still available to see and comment.
It is a very mature group over there. Not so mature to have the bull crap that moparts has on it and not so immature to have some of the stupid things I see posted here from time to time.
I'll say it again. NO ADS. NO MEMBERSHIP fee.
Tent at carlisle with free lunch. After show pizza party and after show restaurant meet ups.
No being lumped in with the A, B and C body guys on the for only sites at carlisle. I have one of all the letters, not knocking the cars or people.

I am non affiliated with the site.
I gain nothing by posting my satisfaction with that site.

My M46 list (registryish) gets way more discussion and I have received more leads for M46's over there than here.

This site is a business. ebodies . org is an enthusiast site.
HUGE difference.

Are there any admins from there on here? I'm locked out of my account there

That site had more than hackers.
There were people who had become members that were actively stealing money from site members through parts sales (supposed parts).
When those people were cut off, they activated accounts that had been unused for many years and began stealing from real members again.
When the thieves were kicked off they hired hackers. Now that is who is attacking the site. All due to dishonest people who were stealing money from members for parts sales.
Cody has at least stopped the theft. But now the thieves target him directly due to him cutting off hidden revenue for the group of thieves.

This is all hearsay from me. I'm no messenger of the site. This is just how I understand what has happened.

No.
Admins here stay on all the for only sites. None on ebodies.org.
The site will be restored again. You will be able to get back on at some point.
Cody brings the site up, then the hackers get in again. Eventually, the thieves will get the site shut down, give up or get busted.
I'd be glad to pay a visit to whomever the hackers/thieves may be. To give them cup cakes of course.

Relax. the site is down for maintenance. it says so (when it's running) right there on the login screen.
they are restoring it, and performing other tasks which I need not disclose. But there may be an ongoing tit-for-tat war with the hacker(s). I am confident once it's straightened out, the site will remain up for several more years.

Thanks. I'm a pretty relaxed guy. I was just asking because I'm locked out because my account is linked to an old email I no longer have. Was just wondering if there was someone on here that was also an admin there that would be able to help me out. Thank you for your concern though.

when the forum part of the site is fully up and running, I recommend you change that email address. I've run into this before, and it can be a real heartache when we no longer have access to a prior email account. In fact, it's on my TODO list to update a forgotten login. thanks for the reminder.

I haven’t looked around to much, at the other site. Everyone I’ve talked with here has been above board, friendly, most have forgotten more than I will ever know about e-bodies. I learn something every time I read this forum.

it's just another mopar e-body forum, and some members are also here, often using the same "forum name." that site differs from this in the free content it shares outside of the forum, such as service manuals, parts books, how-to guides, fender tag decoders, etc. Aside from that extra content, the sites are otherwise pretty similar.
