Before I try and reinvent the wheel I thought maybe I should ask some smarter and more experienced people. Duchman is new, trunk gutters and quarters are new. Trunk deck is original. I end up with a big gap in the back only in the middle and tight at the back corners. Also I must have welded the dutchman/hinge supports off a little because I have to shim the right side about 0.150" to center the deck lid. Any suggestions? The duchman curve doesn't match the trunk lid. Do I have to start welding 1/8" round stock on the back edge of the lid?

If that gap really bothers you, I would fur out the dutchmen to close the gap.
The trailing edge of the decklid may be moved forward, if there is space on the underside, were the decklid fits into the trunk opening.
We can spend many hours aligning the side quarters, dutchmen, hinge brackets and so forth. But the factory assembly line had some variation, too.
Some may argue that gap looks factory because it's imperfect.

Good point. I need to decide what is good enough.
