How do I installfront eye leaf spring bushings

Do I need heat the end of the leaf spring to open it up some???

Don't heat the spring eye. The bushing needs to be pressed in. Easier to do with the spring off the car.
 
i dont know how this bushing would go in this leaf spring eyes. bushing looks to big. Plus it has a metal band around the bushing.
 
If you have the correct bushing it will press in. I just had my bushings with the steel sleeve pressed in recently. No problem. The spring eye will actually open up very slightly.

If you don't have a press maybe you could pull them in with a threaded rod setup??
 
Jim: I purchased mine from Amazon. They were ACDelco 45G17012 Professional Grade. $15 ea.
