Hey all, I'm looking to add some vents in my non AC dash. I'm looking for any ideas or photos of what you have done. I came across the vents in the link below on another thread. Do I need an AC dash frame or can I install them in my non AC dash? I see the car below installed some round vents that don't look too bad. The vents in the link look pretty close to the originals. My dash was redone prior to me purchasing the car and I don't know who did it.

All of the metal frames for the dash pads have the cut outs in the metal for the AC vents.
I'd think you could carefully cut away the foam and use stock vents.

You guys are funny. AC is a nice feature to have but without vents, it's a little hard to feel the cold air haha.

I have a complete factory A/C set up. But I just can't bring myself to cut a original dash pad in perfect condition.
I have entertained the the idea of it. Then I would go through this. 🫨🥵:poke::mad:🤬:BangHead: o_O. I just can't do it.

Dosent the dash pad have a depression where the vents go. I don't think you can just cut out the vent hole and have it look good.

Yes. The vents are recessed in a bit. I don't know if it would be possible to duplicate that cutting into a pad that wasn't originally made that way.

I avoid absolutes on most things but there is no way I would cut into a non-A/C dashpad to add vents. The material and foam would never work out for factory vents.
Consider adding underdash vents to enjoy the A/C or go all out and change out the entire dashpad, a costly endeavor.

Agreed. You may even find someone who would trade.

It was either Classic Auto Air or Vintage Air that had vents made specifically for a non A/C dash with the holes cut out, but after reading through this topic I went and checked and neither one has that option now. No idea why it was dropped.
