It's been running fine and had leave in a garage for 4 months then took it out for a drive and when I turn on the headlights the motor and all electrical shuts off. Turn off lights and it comes back on? This car has a big alternator with dual radiator fans, ac, stereo with sub. So there is a...
Car was rewired 5 years ago with the engine bay wiring hidden. So it's not stock. Battery is in the trunk. I got power to the starter but none to the dash. 1st it wouldn't turn over and the headlights and dash gauges got power.. The starter relay is behind the gauges so I pulled the gauges...
How do you get this thing unhooked. I can't seem to push it to the rear enough. Tried prying on it with a large screw driver. But it doesn't seem to want to go toward the rear. Any suggestions?
Does anyone know where the overhead light's wire connect into the wiring harness. I don't want to pull the car apart to replace the light assembly. It's shorting and running the battery down.
Has anyone installed one of the newer TKX 5 speeds. Did you have to enlarge the tunnel? Is it much smaller than the TKO's. I am considering installing one.
Having trouble getting the rear main seal not to leak. Have tried two seals and both leak after 10 minutes. I saw the other post on the Fel pro seals and am going to try that. I take it will work with a mancini cnc retainer? Has anyone got any experience with the mancini rope seals on the sides?
And this is why you should do as much yourself, because hired help is horrible. Shop put my car back together after painting. It's a 71 and the front grill had both tabs on each end intact when I handed it to them and told them to be carful with it that the tabs would break off if not stored...
Have a 440 and I continually have had the starter wire short to the block and kill the battery. I have tried a couple different starters and all the same problem. Has anyone else ever run in to this?
I know this has talked about a lot but I can't find any threads on it. I have a 71 challenger with QA1 upper control arms and adjustable strut rods. Also a QA 1 k frame with 1" sway bar. Poly bushings. bilstein shocks. What specs should I tell the alignment guy I want this set to if I just...
I have read the manuel looked at the pics and still can't heads or tails out of what to adjust. Any advice on trying to align the door windows? Can't find anything Youtube either. I am hopping someone has some advice.
I want to swap out my strut rods to the solid adjustable strut rods. To get the old ones out would require loosening the lower ball joint and torision bars. Could I just cut the original strut pull it out and then just slide the new adjustable strut rod in without disconnecting the ball joint...
Have a fresh 512 stroker and couldn't get to start just screecching like crazy. Long story short looks like the flywheel teeth are spining and not the flywheel. Have you ever heard of this?
I have a 512 cu stroker with 10:1 compression. Starter has gone out. I have schumaker shorty headers so I have lots of room as compared to others. Just curious what others are using and how well they work.
71 challenger that has been rewired with most wires hidden. The starter relay is behind the dash and I have the dash out right now. Have been having starting problems and replaced the wiring in the column as that was the only piece in the entire car original. Anyway I think I better check...
