Has the block had a crack repaired under the LH engine mount?

Did he re-mill the oil pan rail after the repair??? It doesn't look like it as I can see marks in the spot that I circled above...

How can a buyer be sure that the oil pan will seal properly if the oil pan sealing surface has not been re-milled to be true and flat again???

Has it been leak tested to make sure it wasn't into the oil passages or water jacket???

Any receipts or otherwise proof of professional work on the block? 30,000 is a lot of coin without verification

I don't understand unless it is going back to the car it belongs to it is not correct so if you are going to do an engine that is not correct wouldn't you be better off with a new one? I can relate to doing what ever is needed to save the matching numbers block but why would you resort to this if you don't need to? if it is not matching numbers does it really matter about the date code?

you know, Judging by your "reactions", I guess its more important that you get the $30,000.00 or more you are looking for than the buyer getting a "completely correct " part for his hard earned dollar.
