1970 hemi engine complete -casting date 11/11/68 . the engine is apart for your inspection, all machine work completed and all parts are either new in their perspective boxes or reconditioned. machine work completed list as follows; block BOILED, deck squared, bored .020 thousandths over, threads chased, new cam bearings installed , crank is 10/10 , rods have resized and rebushed , arp rod bolts installed, pistons are hypereutectic .020 , rings are speed-pro and have all ready been file fitted to the bore, the entire rotating assembly has been balanced. heads virgin uncut heads with the exception of gasket porting, a 5 angle valve job , and bronze wall guides installed. parts included: felpro gasket kit , Racer Brown custom grind hydraulic cam shaft with lifters and springs to match. Bronze distributer drive gear , melling high volume oil pump, arp head bolts and studs, wide pad rockers, mopar push rods new old stock oil pick up tube, original correct intake , correct 1970-71 valve covers , matched and date coded 1970 hemi 4spd carbs and rebuild kits, new engine bolt kit ,throttle cable bracket, return spring brackets, throttle springs, original oil pan and balancer pm here for phone number. $30,000.00

yes, #2 rod evidently came loose and knocked a 1x1 inch piece at the pan rail.no where near a water jacket or oil passage.was repaired correctly by a specialist.

Does anyone know the story of where this block came from? Ldrs in box is full so obviously there is a lot of interest in the block.

Has the block had a crack repaired under the LH engine mount?

Did he re-mill the oil pan rail after the repair??? It doesn't look like it as I can see marks in the spot that I circled above...

How can a buyer be sure that the oil pan will seal properly if the oil pan sealing surface has not been re-milled to be true and flat again???

Has it been leak tested to make sure it wasn't into the oil passages or water jacket???

Any receipts or otherwise proof of professional work on the block? 30,000 is a lot of coin without verification

I don't understand unless it is going back to the car it belongs to it is not correct so if you are going to do an engine that is not correct wouldn't you be better off with a new one? I can relate to doing what ever is needed to save the matching numbers block but why would you resort to this if you don't need to? if it is not matching numbers does it really matter about the date code?

you know, Judging by your "reactions", I guess its more important that you get the $30,000.00 or more you are looking for than the buyer getting a "completely correct " part for his hard earned dollar.
