Anyone have a scrap firewall or parts car they would be willing to cut out the center top 12 or so inches out of the firewall? I am thinking it may be easier to piece in a section rather that try to fix my firewall. I purchased my car with this weird firewall damage & I would like to repair it before the engine goes back in. 20150504_205459.jpg

why don't you try welding something like fender shims in ware it's suppose to curve around and pull it with a comealong. tapping the high spots light and going from the shallow end of each side and work your way to the deep part of the damage. if you can save it grate if not you had nothing to lose

Im with JS29, easier to repair the damage with a stud welder like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6UFPoP3jBo

Just so you know; the piece you are talking about is the Wiper Cowl, not the firewall. The are available from AMD and others, but are expensive...
