I also have a manual top 71. Numbers matching and owned by my father since 1980.

I guess the so called "Expert" that wrote the book that I read stating no manual top JH27's in 71 was wrong. I always just assumed it was true because my 71 conv was about as plain jane of a car as you could get from the factory. 318/904 car, and the only power thing on it was the top! The fact that every single 71 JH27 that I have looked at since has had a power top made me believe the author. It's wild that there are 2 known manual top cars right here in this thread. This falls into the "When it comes to Mopar's, never say never!" category.
