73 barracuda fuel filler tube seal ?

Does anyone know if the factory fuel filler tube rubber gasket that goes through the trunk floor, had a thin metal ring around it... That went over the gasket, and the screws went down through the metal ring and through the rubber gasket into the floor of the trunk. Thanks

I'm guessing there are no screw holes in a new trunk floor pan. So yes.

There are holes I the trunk..Just look there would be metal ring that would go over the rubber seal then the screws...wouldn't think the screws would go just through the holes in the rubber seal only...

There is a metal ring molded in to the seal. If I remember correctly.

The one I used was a new one , and it does not have a metal ring molded into the seal.. I wonder where I could pick up that metal ring...

Never seen that metal ring, wonder if it's a 70 only thing.
I seem to remember the repo I put in had molded in metal base.
