Looks great. I too am doing a 73 Rallye car, ground up. Taking forever now because parts from all the suppliers are back ordered until who knows when. Can you take a photo of the vinyl trim mounting clips at the filler panel please? Thanks in advance.

Be more specific on pictures? I'll take them just confused on your request.

I believe the piece of metal between the rear glass and the trunk/deck lid is called a filler panel. The s.s. trim on that filler panel where the vinyl top stops has a few clips to hold that trim in place. Nobody seems to carry them, but I do not even know what they look like. From one of your photos I can barely make them out. I need a close up. Again, thanks. And if you need anything from me, just ask.

If I remember correctly, there are studs that are welded to the sheetmetal, and a plastic clip locates the trim on the stud.

Thanks for the link. The original filler panel was rusted out and replaced. The new one has no holes or studs. Might need to use small screws to hold the clips in place.
Juan, get the same butterfly clips that are used along the sail panel. They have a threaded stud, then a nut under the panels. I would not use screws in the thin sheet metal.

Thanks. I just sent a request to Roseville Moparts and they recommend using the 70 version of retaining clips since I do not have the studs on the filler or sail panels. I ordered these, and the 71-74 version just in case.

There is also a company making Studs. You use a rivet gun to install them. You might want to check them out.

Looks great, love the color. One bit of advice, you mention "new air shocks". DON'T use them. Most all of the E-Body members here will agree that these cars were not made for air shocks, and its just a matter of when they will crack the upper shock bracing. It will be a shame to have to weld over your beautiful new paint when that happens, and it will happen if you drive it at all.
