AC heater control Vacuum source?

i have a 1970 cuda, AC car, not using the AC, missing to many parts. trying to figure out where to get vacuum from to supply system. There is a vacuum line hanging below heater bob next to firewall rubber grommet. I have a canister for the system but dont know where it goes. Any diagrams or help appreciated.

Normally there is a multi point nipple screwed into the inlet manifold at the rear left

Does the canister have to be plumbed into the system somewhere. Or direct from intake to heater

Not sure on the canister mine was remove some time ago i thought you meant the vacuum source for the heater controls
