I'm looking at the summit leafs, they use the same leaf for both sides. They are 5 leafs. Anyone use these?
Are they any good?
Thanks

I believe so. Here's a picture of it. Kitten has been through Hell and back with me with 250k miles and never restored. Just used and abused.

Summit leaf springs are different than the Mopar Performance leaf springs, although you can buy either on the Summit website. I have no idea who makes the Summit units. Mopars are made in Mexico by a Mopar vendor and are a bias design with extra leaves on the right side. I personally have not had any issues with them, and I've used a few sets of the XHD leafs, but I have seen a number of complaints about them not holding their arch.

I think its important to note that either one of these are advertised as restoring stock performance and ride quality. I'd also point out that most of us have a biased opinion of what stock ride height was on E bodies. Many believe in stock form, the rear had a rake to it. The reality is in original form, with equal sized tires on all four corners, an E body did not have rake, it sat level along the rocker panels. When sitting level, the angle of the trunk lid will make the car appear to sit low in the rear. I believe this is why some buyers have been unhappy with the stance provided by OEM quality leaf springs.

Mine is pretty dang level! And sure fun to drive with 1.00" torsion bars and front & rear sway bars. That's all that was available back in the early 90s.

Lately, new leaf springs have been a real crap shoot. You don't really know what you are going to get in terms of quality let alone ride height. Lots and lots of unhappy guys for numerous reasons.

I have used Helwig half leaf helper springs for decades. Quality stuff that you can adjust to your preferences..........any time! And you don't even know they are on there.

I have used them on several of my Mopars over the years and recommend them every chance I get. I have them on my Cuda. Been on there for many years.

Unless someone is going for OE correct, there simply is no better option or down side to them. And besides, they are much more afffordable than new leaf springs. Here is a thread on this with pics of them on my Cuda: https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/3318471

I had mine rebuilt by a local shop and a half leaf added. Be careful of places that will Re-arch yours, the spring will return to its factory arch over time.
