Greetings everyone
Just joined.
I have a 70 challenger RT. All stock and original, purchased in 74 and parked in 1981. Nothing done to it. Has original paint, but also has some rust behind rear wheel (hole about 2", room for a couple fingers) wanting to put back on the road now. I have maintained it by starting, washing, waxing it often.
Would like to fix rust with patch panel. Unsure if I should repainted car or try to blend in the patched area. Want to drive it occasionally in the summer.
Any thought on direction?

Patch it, a good shop can match the paint. The rest of the car looks good, doesn't need a total repaint.

Wow! Great car, just patch and blend for sure. Once you paint them the history is gone forever. I would get it professionally polished when done as well.
