Has anybody used the Black Widow Professional HVLP Gravity Feed Air Spray Gun sold by Harbor freight? What are your thoughts?

Nevermind, I heard the internals only last a year or two.

I steer clear of Harbor Freight. You’re going to get what you pay for there…junk.

So normally I’d agree with the harbor freight junk comment… But having owned (still) and used the HTE version of the Black Widow I’ll let the pictures do the talking on how it sprays. This was before color sanding etc.

As far as internals wearing out within a year or two. I’m unable to comment on that as I’ve only owned mine for a year. BUT this gun is one of the products that HF offers support for. Meaning they sell gasket replacement and rebuild kits for it as well as different size needles so that it won’t turn into just another throw away gun that they already sell.

Being this was my first car I ever painted, and probably last. I wasn’t going to spend the kind of money on some of the professional guns I have saw while researching when I could get similar results for the HF gun that pretty much stole the Sata blue prints basically.

I made the decision on HTE over the HLPV based on the paint I was spraying (SS).

OH and I sprayed this car outside as well.
