Cassette Player Belts

Checking to find out if anyone has ever did any research regarding the two belts used used in the factory cassette players. Both belts have turned to a black goo, I found a link on Wards Radio Repair where the belts can be ordered, It would save a lot of time if someone knows the correct length.

Loop a piece of string around the pulleys and measure.

Thanks, I know the procedure I guess I was trying to take the lazy way out. Was thinking that maybe someone may have already serviced one of these units. The way the the things are built new belts and other rubber items should get it up and running.
