ok guys im 6ft2 and my seats seem close to the dash,i have almost a foot between the back off my bucket and back seat. Is this right or did the last owner put the seat rails in backwards. It just seems like im eating the dash.

I dunno. I am about 6'5" and don't really have a problem.

probably easier to move the seat on the sliders than move the sliders on the floor as the floor is reinforcd where the bolts go through . , Often putting spacers under the front bolts & lifting the front of the seat helps a lot also .
overall height is not the issue , I have friends who are 3-4" taller than I am & I am not short but I have longer legs , I always have the seat as far back as possible & tip the seat for more leg room .

The seat back is not heavy duty. I have seen many, many stock e-body driver seat backs that were broken over the years . I tried the stock six-way adjustable seat tracks and that puts my head into the headliner. Seat tracks are too tall. Six foot five and no issues? What type of seats do you have ? Buckets or bench ?
I was thinking of trying out the seat that Mopar Muscle installed a few months ago. I know it was a B-body. Just wonder if would work better. That seat has and adjustable recline function.

there is an adjuster between the base & back that will adjust the angle also adding washers under the front seat rails can make a huge difference for both leg room & seat angle

thought i would take the back spacers out and put them on the front and go from there. In my 69 charger a put a set of daytona seats in and they were awesome and you could recline them.
