Does anyone know how swappable these are. Specifically, a sadface grille to a 70 grille. Do the fenders/bumper need swapping too?

The fenders are different. The hood latch frame is probably different to. You'd also need headlight buckets and headlight bezels. It's not a direct bolt-on by any means.

He doesn't want to put the 72-74 on a 70. Read it again. He want to put a 70 grill onto a 72-74.

OK It was a little confusing. Does he like the 72-74 f/e and 70 rear or vice versa? In either case, it is easier to swap the tail lights than the front grille assembly. Right ?

But harder to come by a 70/71 at a good price

To put the 70 grille in a 72-74 you have to weld the headlight buckets from a 70 or 71 fender into the 72-74 fender. You also have to add some indentations to make the head light bezels fit. You will have to drill a couple of holes in the sides of the radiator support for the 70 grille brackets, if I remember correctly. Your horns will interfere with the 70 grille. They will need to be moved onto the inner fender like the 70 71 cars. The hood latch is different. If you use the inside hood latch they are the same between the two grilles. Since there isn't a place for the bumper fillers on the 70 grille the 73 & 74 bumpers need to be moved back. You can redrill the 73-74 bumper and use the 70-72 brackets or just use a complete 70-72 assembly. The tail lights can be changed by changing the tail light panel. You will then need the 70 bumper filler. The bumper would need to be moved back using the 70-72 rear bumper brackets. The 73 74 bumper will need replaced or redrilled. If you want to complete the look you still have to change the side marker lights or if it is a pro touring; just eliminate them. There are 30+ differences between a 70 Challenger and a 73 Challenger.

Im very much considering purchasing a nearby 74 Chally and either cloneing a 70 Chally or possible Resto Mod Cuda clone.... Ill Respond further in this thread if this deal comes together to buy this car.

Would it not also be easier to swap an entire front clip, or is it that the body lines are different?
