Correct transmission finish

I am looking for suggestions for cleaning and refinishing the transmission from a Challenger T/A to factory new appearance. Anyone have a method that has worked for them?

Go to the Members Restoration forum and look for the 1970 4 Door Cuda thread, pg 28. He explains his complete process there. The entire thread has lots of restoration details and finishes.
