I started to clean and wire wheel 70 Challenger dash frame and found this cool stamp. Frame is very likely original. Torx bit is 'scale bar.' Does anyone know what it is for?
Haha, well it is good to know that the car has been vaccinatedLooks like the scar left form the Smallpox shot I got as a kid back in the 60's.
Smallpox or Polio. Can't remember which for sure. Was a while ago.Looks like the scar left form the Smallpox shot I got as a kid back in the 60's.
The marks you are seeing are from clamps. Here is a video of how it is done today. The clamps are different and robots are doing the welding. It will give you an idea of what was done in the past and why it has the marks.
Thanks for checking!Maybe a 1970 thing? I checked 4 frames and none of them have that stamp anywhere. I know one frame is from a 73 but don't know about the other ones.
Cool, which year and production plant your car is from?I have seen the same thing on my E-body muffler heat shields
